A large number of residents of Lyari staged a protest demonstration against extra-judicial killing of a teenager outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Monday.
The protesters chanted slogans against law enforcers and complained of being harassed on regular basis by placing the dead body of teenager on road.
A teenager, Junaid, 17, son of Muhammad Azeem, resident of Saifi Mohala Baghdadi, went missing earlier on August 16, 2014, at night during a raid by law enforcers in Baghdadi area. However, residents and relatives accused the law enforcers of abducting and killing him.
On the occasion, Muhammad Ijaz Baloch, a relative of the victim, said he was picked up from his residence during a raid. Next day, they approached the headquarters of law enforcers at Peoples Football Ground to know his whereabouts but the law enforcers denied of picking any person by such name, he added.
He further claimed that the slain teenager was working in a printing press in Gulbai area and had no criminal record.
