National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudry on Thursday directed NAB officers to work with honesty of purpose and re-double their efforts to recover looted money.
While presiding over a meeting to review the progress in Modarba scam at NAB Rawalpindi, he directed to immediately arrest all the remaining plunderers who are involved in the scam. He also directed boosting efforts to bring back the accused who have fled abroad. The chairman directed the officials to adopt a result-oriented approach. He directed the prosecutors at regional level to put their heads together with investigators so that cases in courts are well prosecuted.
The NAB Rawalpindi director general apprised the meeting that NAB had so far filed two references in the Modarba scam including a reference against Ghulam Rasool Ayubi, Mezban Trading Company Pvt Ltd and others, and a reference against Mufti Shabbir Ahmed Usmani (Al-Wasey Group and others).
