The Lahore High Court on Tuesday rejected an application to prevent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan-led ‘Azadi’ march from entering into the federal capital’s Red Zone.

Earlier on Monday, Advocate Kashif Sulaimani had submitted the petition in the LHC, which stated that Khan’s move to enter the Red Zone is unconstitutional.

Sulaimani said the court should issue orders to prevent Khan from leading the march into the Red Zone and had requested that the court should hear the matter on daily basis.

Justice Alia Neelam rejected the petition in the preliminary hearing and remarked that the matter was not of a sensitive nature and the court could not conduct its hearings on a regular basis.
