Heavy rain hit the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Friday as the Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s ‘Inqilabi’ march and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s ‘Azadi’ march reached the gates of the Federal Capital.
The rain has made the weather pleasant for the citizens in general and the participants of the marches in particular.
The Meteorological Department has forecast rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions over the next two days. Isolated heavy falls may also occur in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions during the period.
The weather forecast may not be encouraging for the organisers and participants of the marches as it would be difficult for the marchers to face the weather vagaries under the open sky.
