Pakistani troops Tuesday responded effectively to unprovoked firing by Indian troops at the Line of Control in Gultari Sector near Astore, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has reported.

Tueaday’s LoC ceasefire violation came at a time when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a visit to Kargil, a hot spot where Pakistan and India were engaged in an armed conflict in 1999.

It merits mentioning here that in August 2014 so far, India has committed 55 ceasefire violations along the LoC and working boundary in which Pakistan has suffered several military and civilian casualties.

Instead of mending the situation, India is reportedly blaming Pakistan and issuing provocative statements against Pakistan.

In a recent incident, Pakistan returned an Indian soldier captured alive by Chenab Rangers in Pakistan and reportedly took good care of him while in custody. But the next day a Pakistani civilian who mistakenly crossed the border was killed by the Indian forces.
