ISLAMABAD-
The hearing of a petition challenging deployment of army in Islamabad was adjourned until September by Islamabad High Court (IHC), a private news channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, IHC bench, headed by Justice Anwar Kasi, heard the petition and observed that the ruling could not be issued without hearing the version of Defence Ministry.
senior lawyers, including Abdul Hafiz Hafeez Pirzada, S.M Zafar, Khalid Anwar, Hamid Khan, Taufiq Asif and Senator Raza Rabbani were nominated by the bench to assist the court in case pretaining to the deployment of troops in Islamabad under article 245 of the constitution.
The hearing was adjourned until the first week of September.
