Students and teachers associations have demanded an extension in the date for filing admission formss with single fee in connection with supplementary Matric examination.

The candidates who are going to appear in the supplementary Matric examination reportedly said that result of Matric examination was announced on July, 25 and then Eid holidays were announced. Several private students have not been provided result of Matric examination under various objections, they said.

They said that Punjab Education Board Committee (PEBC) gave students only five days to file admission forms with single fee, adding that this is insufficient.

They expressed wonder that PEBC has decided to extend date for filing admission forms with double fee from August 15 to August 18 and with threefold fee from August 18 to August 22 but the date for filing admission forms with single fee has not been extended. This decision of the committee is based on malafide intent, they said, adding that the decision is aimed at extorting money from the students.

They said that Independence Day celebrations and ‘Azadi’ march might also disrupt the examination schedule, demanding that the date for filing admission forms with single fee be extended.
