KARACHI – At least two men were reportedly gunned down in separate incidents in the city on Monday.
SITE-A police said a 35-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified armed persons near the Habib Chowrangi in SITE area. Abdul Ghaffar, son of Taur Khan, was crossing the road when he the assailants sprayed him with bullets and managed to escape.
The victim, a resident of Bawani Chali, SITE was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police said that Ghaffar was killed over a personal enmity and registered FIR No 226/11 under section 302/34.
A man was killed and another injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a shop on the Abul Hassan Isphahani Road. Sachal police said Sardar Akakhel, resident of Machar Colony, was sitting at a shop in Shopper Plaza when two armed men approached him and opened fire at him, killing Akakhel on the spot while injuring a shop employee named Rehmat.
The body of the deceased was shifted to the Patel Hospital, from where the heirs took it away without medico-legal formalities. The injured man was shifted to the Aga Khan University Hospital.
