Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq has said that it was the democratic right of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to leave the provincial government, but the people of KP would not take the decision positively if Imran Khan dissolves the assembly.
Addressing a press conference in the capital on Monday, Haq said that the provincial government was formed with the consensus of different political parties and JI was also a coalition partner in it.
Haq urged all the political parties to focus on Palestine’s issue as the innocent people there needed moral and political support. He appealed to the political parties, non-governmental organizations, human rights bodies and general public to observe August 17 as Palestine Day to show solidarity with the Palestinians.
The JI chief announced that the JI had planned Gaza million-man march on 17th in Karachi and had invited the political and religious parties for it. He said that the JI would also arrange “Labaak Ya Qibla Aawal” rally in the federal capital on August 10 to show sympathies with the people of Palestine.
Haq said that the JI had allocated Rs 10 million for the people of Gaza while six ambulances worth $ 60,000 would also be sent to Gaza to assist the people. He called for convening a meeting of heads of Islamic states in the federal capital on the Palestinian issue and taking appropriate actions. He also appealed to all the Muslim countries to extend their full support to the people of Palestine.
