Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday celebrated Eid with the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan camping in Bannu, a private news channel reported.
According to the report, Khan was expected to join the IDPs for Eid prayers but could not arrive in time via a helicopter due to bad weather in Kohat.
He arrived at around 11:30 am and met with the IDPs and distributed gifts.
“Our government is making arrangements for rehabilitation of your families… We pray for your safe return to homes,” said the PTI chief who has a coalition government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
He added that the government is in the process to provide education to the children in IDP camps.
