At least 10 people were injured in a blast in Kandahari Bazaar, Quetta on Sunday.
“The bomb was planted near a shoe shop. At least ten people were injured and shifted to Provincial Sandeman Hospital,” City Police Station SHO Mohammed Aslam said.
“An improvised explosive device (IED) was planted near an open sewage passing in front of a shoe shop,” Aslam said, adding that he did not know who the attack was targeting.
Further, the SHO said that the number of causalities could rise. Rescue workers, police and paramilitary troops reached the area soon after the explosion.
Kandahari Bazaar is located in the heart of Quetta and is always packed with people. Several markets, shopping malls and restaurants are located in this area.
