Seventeen-year-old Pakistani-American Harris Sulaiman, who was circumventing the globe in a single engine turbo-prop with his father to raise funds for charity, met with an accident off the US coast on Wednesday.

According to reports, Harris was on the final leg of the journey and took off from Hawaii for California when his aircraft crashed in the sea.

Speaking to a private news channel, Harris’s aunt confirmed that the plane had crashed, adding that the family had been informed by the US coast guard.

Harris and his father had visited Karachi earlier this month as part of their mission.
