Petrol price likely to go up

Petroleum prices are likely to be increased from July 25.

According to sources, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is likely to suggest an increase of Rs1.45 per liter in petrol prices, Rs1.56 per liter in High Speed Diesel (HSD) and Rs4.20 per liter in High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) price. The price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) is likely to be brought down by Rs1.28 per liter and kerosene oil by Rs1.35 per liter.

At present, the prices of petroleum products stand at Rs107.97 per liter for petrol, HSD at Rs109.34 per liter, LDO at Rs94.13 per liter, HOBC at Rs134.6 per liter and kerosene oil at Rs97.4 per liter.

Meanwhile, electricity prices are likely to go down by Rs0.7 after a final summary of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).

Sources said that the decision is expected to be implemented on July 23 after a final notification by NEPRA.
