Two policemen were gunned down in an attack on a police patrolling vehicle in Peshawar’s Hayatabad area on Sunday.
According to details, unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on the law enforcement officials and fled the scene. A police official said that two policemen fell victim to the attack and died before they could be taken to the hospital.
At least eight policemen have been killed in attacks in Peshawar in the last 10 days.
On Friday, a remote-controlled bomb targeted a police mobile in Peshawar, killing a policeman and injuring four others.
The police mobile was on routine patrol in Peshawar’s Wazir Bagh area when it struck a roadside bomb. The injured police personnel were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where a head constable succumbed to his wounds.
Later on Friday evening, three policemen and a passerby were killed when terrorists riding a car opened fire on a police party at a roadside restaurant in the Pistakhara area when they were about to break their daylong fast.
