Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday challenged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to hold a public debate with him on national issues.

Addressing a press conference, Qadri said Sharif’s style of governance is “unconstitutional and undemocratic”.

“People are unhappy with the Pakistan Muslim League-led government, which has come into power through rigging,” said Qadri, adding that the government has failed to protect the life and property of the people of Pakistan.

Responding to Qadri’s challenge, Federal Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that the parliament is the right forum for a debate.

State Minister for Power Abdi Sher Ali said that Qadri had no representation in the parliament and said that the PAT leader would return to Canada after creating chaos in Pakistan.
