Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has granted approval to the criteria of appointment on vacant posts of vice chancellors in various universities, said a spokesman of the Punjab Education department on Thursday.
He told that on the instructions of the Punjab chief minister, a five-member special search committee has been constituted for the appointment of eligible persons against vacant posts of vice chancellors in different universities of the province which will perform its duty according to the laid down procedure. The spokesman further said that the committee will also select suitable candidates for appointment of vice chancellors for three women universities. He said that the vacant posts of vice chancellors will be advertised in next few days.
