Weeks after the United Sates banned the Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), the front organisation of terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed has denied any allegations of terror against him, saying the US was prompted to ban JuD due to pressure from India.
Talking to a private television channel, Indian journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, who met Saeed in Pakistan, said that the JuD chief Saeed is not averse to the idea of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting Pakistan. According to Vaidik, the JuD said that Pakistan will welcome the Indian leader.
Vaidik, who was on a tour to Pakistan, met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other leaders of the country, besides meeting the JuD leader, who is accused of masterminding the November 26 Mumbai terror attack.
Vaidik, who met Saeed in Lahore in a high-security room, reported that the JuD chief expressed his desire to visit New Delhi and Mumbai.
