Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon on Saturday told the federal government to stop unnecessary interference into the affairs of Sindh government.

In a statement, Memon said Sindh would not accept any dictation from the federation, adding that the federal government should focus on resolving issues concerning the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan and electricity load shedding.

He said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) always acted with political maturity, alleging that the affectees of North Waziristan operation were completely ignored by the federal government.

Memon said the federal government must stop interfering in the affairs of Sindh government as per the 18th amendment of the constitution. He said unlike what Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led Punjab government did to the prime minister and president in the past, the PPP-led Sindh government had never had a prejudicial attitude towards the current prime minister and the president.
