Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is not under obligation of holding the fort of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government if it continues to dismantle it through egregious ways, said PPP Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo while addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in his honour by PPP USA chapter in New York on Saturday.
He added that the mandarins’ administrative inaptness was analogous to naivety as how they handled the Model Town incident by using brute police force in which 14 innocent Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers were killed and about hundred injured.
He said that the Nandipur Hydel Project was another manifestation of their flawed administrative acumen because it’s mal-functioning had exploded in the face of the Punjab chief minister who promised to the nation to control the load shedding in months not in years.
He added that the people were running from pillar to post to get subsidised food items under the Ramazan Package but either these items were not available and if available at the given prices they were of low quality and not fit for human consumption. The package is proving as double jeopardy for the poor people in the month of Ramazan, he observed.
He declared that he would present the PPP Chairman a well organised, disciplined and robust party, fully prepared to make Punjab its stronghold once again. We are bound to stage comeback under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal, he predicted.
