LAHORE – The government has announced a three-day-a-week gas load shedding for the industrial sector in Punjab, a private TV channel reported on Saturday. A notification has been issued in this regard. Despite of orders issued by the president and the prime minister, gas load shedding for the industrial units of Punjab has continued unabated. According to the notification, industries across Punjab were facing gas load shedding due to a gas shortfall.
Punjab has been divided in two zones and the first region – Lahore, Sheikhupura and Sahiwal – will face three-day gas load shedding from tomorrow. The second region – Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur and Islamabad – will face gas load shedding from April 6 to April 8.
