A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader was shot dead in Kalat, late on Friday night.
According to reports, armed men forced entry into the house of PML-N district leader Abdul Jabbar Umrani in Sheesha Dagar and fled the scene after killing Umrani.
Police reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital. The body was later handed over to the heirs.
Umrani is survived by three wives, six sons and five daughters.
A heavy contingent of the Police and Anti-Terrorism Force, headed by DSP Asrar Umrani conducted a raid in Kapoto and arrested two suspects, Saifullah and Naib Shafi Muhammad. The suspects have been shifted to Kalat.
