LAHORE – Asasah, a Lahore based Microfinance Institution has qualified for a Gold 2010 MIX CGAP Social Performance Reporting Award. A Gold Award is a source of great prestige to Asasah, said a spokesman of the institution. In 2009, Asasah received Silver Award for reporting on social performance.
The award, powered by the MIX is designed to promote greater transparency in the social performance of Micro Finance Institutions (MFI). That year, Asasah became the first MFP globally to receive the MFI Silver Certificate Award in recognition of its commitment to social transparency, the spokesman claimed.
