- National Assembly pays tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for her struggle for democracy and courage against terrorism

The National Assembly Saturday passed a unanimous resolution paying homage to former prime minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her birthday for her struggle for promotion of democracy and showing courage in fight against terrorism.
The House also unanimously passed another resolution condemning the June 18 attack on the Member National Assembly of MQM Tahira Asif in which she was injured and later succumbed to her injuries. The resolution demanded of the Punjab government to arrest the culprits involved.
Through another resolution, NA extended Federal Judicial Academy Ordinance 2014 for another 120 days.
The House also passed a resolution regarding the appointment of NA members, Shaista Pervez, Ishtiaq Mehr and Nafeesa Shah as member of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. It hoped that they will play their role in promotion of education in the country.
