Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday postponed its public meeting in Bahawalpur, citing security reasons.
The decision was taken at the party’s core-committee meeting held in Islamabad in the backdrop of the North Waziristan Agency military operation.
According to reports, the recent wave of terrorism and security concerns prompted the PTI’s leadership to defer the demonstration which was scheduled to be held on June 22 in Bahawalpur.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan was due to address the public gathering as part of his party’s ongoing campaign against alleged poll rigging.
