Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain has termed the statement of federal minister Ahsan Iqbal’s son against the Pak Army on Facebook to be “poisonous, stupid and nonsensical”.

Hussain said in a statement that the minister’s son’s “stupid thinking and use of nonsensical language” regarding the Armed Forces of Pakistan and concerned institutions reflected the mentality of their parents. He questioned the rationale behind such statements.

Iqbal’s son Ahmad Iqbal Chaudary, in a Facebook Status, had blamed the Pakistan Army and Intelligence agencies for the terrorist attacks in the country saying that had these institution done their job, there would have been no internal or external threats to Pakistan.

  1. So what's wrong with this? Any person who can think straight and has a brain to analyse would reach the same conclusion.

    • Ahsan’s son was bold to speak out the truth. He rightly said Pakistan army AND ISI are responsible to bring about security issues in the country. Their only motive is to create an environment of anarchy in order to topple the democratically elected government; thereby take reigns of the government in their hands. Fully support the statement of Ahsan iqbal’s son.

      • You are right but donot forget that if his grandmother didn't support Gen Zia,she wouldn't be Minister neither his father come in politics and minister today…..he should look back to his family history then blame the Forces.

    • It not being straight. …It being irrational as if u don’t know something and u vomit it out. The problem with us is that we know nothing and act as veteran analysts. It’s not the freedom of speech that u can spit out anything u want irresponsibly.

    • Miss if hes right, then tell the govt to disban army and isi and get the security from geo or any better agency.

  2. failing to save country against terrorist attacks. it is sole reponsiblity of security agancies

  3. If army were given the credit and room to manouvre they deserve then maybe, just maybe they’d be able to do their job. Let’s not be so quick to assign blame and a little smarter in analysing the situation. The arms has been under attack by media, judiciary and politicians for some time now. And now, we complain that they’re not defending us. A little selfish and childish I think. Our army is the best in the world. All they need is the support of the Pakistani public. Sadly, most of them are illiterate Jews and Hindus. He’ll bent on destroying Pakistan!

  4. Truth hurts. If ISI & the Military had done their job, this would not have happened. These fat generals need more wax for their mustaches & PM should start wearing Sari instead of Shervani.

    • You have successfully barbecued higher echelons of Army. I haven't came across fat generals so far. And what about all those who died in the line of duty? Nation full of losers like you is surely doomed.

  5. In this country army, media, judiciary, politicians everyone one wants absolute power without accountability. Talk about Army’s failing intelligence or exceeding authority…….You will be termed a ‘traitor & anti-state’, talk against Media…….You will be termed against ‘Freedom of Expression’, talk against partiality of judges……….you will be charged with 'contempt of court’ and talk about inefficiency or corruption of politicians………it will be a political victimization !!!! Jeo meray mulk key looters , this nation loves its looters !!!

  6. Is internal security "duty" of Pakistan Army? Are 13 intelligence agencies working under the "control" of Pakistan Army? The one who let go black listed terrorists prior to emergency imposition is living abroad unquestioned. General who settled down in UK was questioned how he acquired his duplex. Hasn't Pakistan Army protected us against external threats? Can India, Afghanistan or Iran he consider taking over any part of Pakistan? Why was Pakistan Army called when Airport came under attack? Why do I see Army's vehicles in my area for 'local' security purposes? Hasn't someone else failed?

  7. Look who is talking here … This is very unfortunate that people like Ch Shujat are still in the Media attention and vying around power corridors. He was among the foremost turncoats who jumped into the lap of General Musharraf, when Mush created PML-Q.

Chaudhry Shujat’s cousin, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi remained Chief Miniter-Punjab and was involved in the largest-ever banking fraud in the history of Pakistan whereby the Bank of Punjab (controlled by Government of Punjab) was fraudulently deprived of Rs 24 Billion. http://tribune.com.pk/story/129296/bank-of-punjab

When the scam was uncovered at the end of Musharraf’s dictatorship, Chaudhry Shujat facilitated Bank’s President, Hamesh Khan, flee the country from Peshawar airport. The PPP government kept dilly-dallying the repatriation of Hamesh Khan from Virginia, USA.

Chaudhry Shujat has claimed to be the architect of NRO- the worst ever legislation to protect corruption scams in Pakistan in October 2007. Realizing the dwindling support of dictator Musharraf, the Chaudhry Brothers (Chaudhry Shujat Hussain & Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi) dumped him. They did not even give party ticket to Musharraf’s handpicked PM Shaukat Aziz in the general elections of February 2008.

However, to the utter surprise of millions of Pakistanis Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was inducted as Deputy Prime Minister (a seat specially created for him) when the country had yet to recover from the US raid for Osama bin Laden’s hunt at Abbottabad during the wee hours of 2nd May 2011.
The PML-Q, and more specifically Chaudhry Brothers, were at the forefront of mega corruption scams including NICL http://www.dawn.com/news/601723/nicl-scandal The looters in National Insurance Corporation Limited – NICL corruption scam were Moonis Elahi (son of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi) and Mohsin Habib Warraich (son of Major Habib Warraich – another crony of dictator Musharraf). PPP’s Interior Minister – spin doctor Rahman Malik manipulated the investigations by continuously changing the investigators as part of Qatil and Lutto Deal.
Similarly, Chaudhry Shujat’s brother – Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has been involved in EOBI scandal http://tribune.com.pk/story/623451/eobi-scandal-e

These looters didn’t spare the Hajjis or even the poor pensioners. The Guardian of UK has reported Chaudhry Moonis Elahi’s offshore account in BVI (British Virgin Islands) http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2013/apr/04/offshor

The PMLN Government has already announced to negotiate with the Swiss Government to bring back US$ 200 Billion hidden in offshore accounts. [The figure of US$ 200 Billion has been derived from the analysis of a Financial Consultant in London who calculated the amount in October 2007 i.e., at the time of NRO being signed by then dictator Musharraf to waive more than 8,000 cases of corruption through his single stroke of pen http://thelondonpost.net/lite-looting-and-elling-… This was part of the deal through which the Dictator dreamt of sticking in Presidency for yet another term. But his days were numbered!] The return of looted money to Pakistan must be causing great trouble to corrupt Chaudhry Shujat apart from Asif Ali Zardari. http://tribune.com.pk/story/742582/talks-to-retri

For the upstarts in political analysis in Pakistan, they need to read the profile of the Chaudhry Shujat, who has been loyal to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif but defected him to join General Pervaiz Musharraf. Then he defected Musharraf and joined Asif Zardari. These days he is standing behind Imran Khan. Let’s hope that the days of palace intrigues are over in Pakistan and people like Chaudhry Shujat are brought to justice.

  8. Qadri Issued fatwa against Talibaan… There is no blast in long sit-in … it tells something fishy fishy… Sad on AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
