Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chairman Fazlur Rehman said on Thursday that he was dejected regarding the future prospects of the country in light of the current political scenario.

Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House, Rehman said that ‘a drama of talks’ was staged in the country to end terrorism.

He claimed that the establishment has already decided to launch an operation in Waziristan.

He said that the establishment was impeding the process of peace talk.

He said the JUI-F was prepared to offer any assistance to the prime minister for peace efforts.

Responding to a question, Rehman said that the JUI-F had nothing to do with the Musharraf issue but added that court orders should be implemented in letter and spirit.

He said Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri is a Pakistani citizen and no one can stop him from coming to Pakistan, adding that Qadri should be provided security on arrival to Pakistan.
