A woman was shot dead over domestic dispute while a youth drowned in a river in separate incidents on Monday.
According to the police, three accused, namely Shahzad, Zia and Tariq opened fire over a domestic dispute in Mohallah Aali Chiniot of Chiniot district, injuring a woman.
The wounded woman, Shameem Bibi, was rushed to Allied Hospital Faisalabad in a critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The police have registered a case against the culprits and started raids for their arrest.
Meanwhile, 30-year-old Ghulam Yaseen of main Chiniot town was bathing in Chenab River when he went into deep water and drowned.
After efforts of several hours, rescue divers found the body and handed it to the heirs.
