People celebrated Youm-e-Takbeer on Wednesday with fervour and enthusiasm to remember the nuclear tests conducted by the country in 1998 that made it the seventh nuclear nation of the world.
Hyderabad PML-N President Haneef Siddiqui said nuclear detonations proved to the world that Pakistan was fully capable to defend its sovereignty and security.
Siddiqui said the nation would always remember the services of the politicians, scientists and army officers who worked for materializing the dream of making Pakistan an atomic power.
He said the nation was proud of the services of hundreds of engineers and scientists, who through their untiring efforts, made Pakistan’s defence invincible.
He said that May 28 has become a historic day for the country and is called Youm-e-Takbeer. It is on this day that the nation remembers its great achievement, he said.
