Minister’s guard gunned down

KARACHI – The personal security guard of Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani was gunned down on Wednesday by two unidentified men in Azizabad.
Thirty five-year-old Imran Manzoor alias Jangi was near Jamia Masjid Almas in Muhammadi Colony when two men on a motorcycle arrived on the scene and opened fire on him. Azizabad SHO Habibullah Qureshi said that the victim suffered six bullets wounds and died on the spot.
His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and later to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. It is pertinent to mention here that the victim was one of the best friends of late Khalid Shahenshah, the chief security officer of late Benazir Bhutto. He was employed by the local government minister as his personal security guard after Shahenshah’s death.
