KASUR – A rally of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Kasur under the leadership of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Muhammad Hussain Dogar will leave for Larkana to attend the death anniversary of PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on April 2.
It was decided at a meeting of PPP Kasur under the chair of Muhammad Hussain who also issued notices to the leaders who did not attend the party meetings. The district headquarters of the party will be inaugurated in May, he said, adding that meetings would be organised on monthly basis and the presence of all party leaders ensured. He warned the office bearers of suspending their membership if they missed the meetings continuously for a month.
He lauded the steps of Asif Ali Zardari, criticised the performance of the Punjab government and also announced the names of new office bearers.
POLICEMEN DIRECTED TO REACH CRIME SCENES QUICKLY: Sheikhupura Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rai Altaf has asked police officers to reach the site immediately if there is any untoward incident in the district.
He was addressing a meeting at the office of Kasur DPO. The RPO asked all the police officers to monitor investigation process of their junior officers. He also asked the officers to help the police collect evidence from the crime scenes.
POLICE VAN ATTACKED: Dacoits attacked a police vehicle in a village near Nizampura. Reportedly, Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Akbar was patrolling the area when some unidentified dacoits opened fire at the vehicle. However, all policemen remained safe in the attack.
CITIZENS DEPRIVED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Citizens were deprived of cash and valuables in various incidents. In the first incident, a junior clerk in the Punjab chief minister’s office was deprived of cash, a mobile phone and other valuables at Khara Road.
In the second incident, three dacoits entered the house of a traffic official in Mustafabad, tortured his wife and fled away after looting ornaments and valuables. In the third incident, the dacoits looted Muhammad Shahid and deprived him of his motorcycle in Gulberg Colony.
MAN SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead at Allahabad over a property issue. Reportedly, Irshad and his accomplices barged into the house of Khushi Muhammad and shot him dead.
GIRL RAPED: A girl was raped at village Sahran. Reportedly, the girl went to the fields to answer the call of nature when Bilal raped her. Phoolnagar police have registered a case.
MAN KILLS SISTER FOR HONOUR: A man killed his sister in the name of honour at Changa Manga. Reportedly, Samina had developed illicit relations with a man of the same village that enraged her brother Yaseen. On the day of the incident, Yaseen, along with other family members, strangulated Samina.
