Rawalpindi Arts Council in collaboration with Rotary Club of Rawalpindi organized a stage play “Roog” to create awareness about polio here on Thursday.
The play was written by Naheed Manzoor and directed by Salman Sunny while Ehsan Qureshi, Shahid Kado, Sapna Shah, Naeem Tota, Taskeen Victor, Imran Rushdi, and Aftab Anwar play leading role in the drama.
EDO Health Dr Khalid Randhawa, VC UAAR Rae Niaz Ahmed, Governor Rotary Club Ch Iftikhar Ahmed, Dr Benazir from WHO, Mosa Raza participated as guests of honor. The main theme of the drama was that people with disability by polio must be given honor as given by normal people. They should not be hatred at any case which is also the message of Islam. Addressing after the drama, Naheed Manzoor said that awareness about polio is the need of the time. President Rotary Club Rashid Mashkoor said such kind of maga event was not possible without efforts of Rawalpindi Arts Council. VC UAAR Rae Niaz Ahmed said a very impressive message was delivered by dramatic performance.
