In the education institutes beside the curricular activities, extra-curricular activities are also important, through which the students physically and ethically remains fit.
These views were expressed by chief guest, Federal Urdu University Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal while addressing the event of student’s week at Newports Institute of Communication and Economics (NICE), said a statement on Tuesday.
The vice chairperson of the institute Huma Bukhari, Rector Prof Rais Alvi, Registrar Salman Jamal and others also spoke on the ocassion.
Dr Iqbal said that youth are the assets of the country, it is impossible to get progress without providing them the opportunities of latest education.
Such nations have developed, those equipped the youths with the jewels of education, he added. He said this is the reason that existing government are paying special heed to the betterment of educational system. He said that he feels pleasure by observing that Newports Institute is organising such big events in relation with Student’s week, which proved that private educational institutes are actually providing full cooperation to the government for the better educational system.
Therefore, the supreme leadership of the institute and students are appreciable those are participating in this programme with diligent and curiosity, he said.
Huma Bukhari said that students are the founder of future, therefore the facilitation of better educational environment includes in our manifesto.
“We think that besides the education, extra-curricular activities play an important role to form better society then it accounts for the best efforts of the faculty of the institute and student council,” she said.
Members of faculty, educationists and other notables were also present on the occasion.
