Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) Tuesday held an inter-collegiate poster competition to highlight development agreements recently signed between Pakistan and China.
More than 60 students from different colleges of Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated in the contest titled “Journey of development from Kashgar to Gwadar.”
The economic corridor Gwadar-Kashgar is considered a milestone in the history of Pak-China friendship, which would benefit three billion people in the region.
Leading artist, Mehmood Ali and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed adjudged the competition.
Sumaira Sultan from RAC bagged first position, Fartashiya Khan from GovernmentWaqar-un-NisaCollege clinched second position, while Faryal Masood from Governmentt College Gawalmandi and Shewana Zareen from PostgraduateCollege got third position collectively.
Shiza from Government SirSyedCollege, Wah Cantt secured fourth prize. Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Senator Najma Hameed said Pak-China friendship and bilateral cooperation is unprecedented, which is taking roots with each passing day. She also highlighted various aspects of bilateral ties between the two friendly neighbouring counties, and its impact on regional progress and prosperity.
