President Mamnoon Hussain says the government has initiated dialogue process with the Taliban to bring peace to the country.
He was addressing the 14th convocation of Jinnah University for Women in Karachi Saturday.
He urged the nation to assist in the government’s initiative to control terrorism, lawlessness and corruption and improve socio-economic conditions of the country. The president said the government had initiated various projects to cope with the energy crisis.
He said development and stability of the country was linked to women education. Mamnoon Hussain said the government was paying special attention to the education sector and huge amount would be earmarked in the upcoming budget for this sector.
On the occasion, 948 girl students were awarded degrees in various disciplines.
