The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday staged protest outside the Sindh Assembly to protest against non-issuance of NICOP and passport to the party chief Altaf Hussain.

Speaking on this occasion, MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari accused the interior ministry of being irresponsible in the matter. He urged PM Nawaz Sharif to take notice of the issue, adding that the MQM would continue to hold protests unless and until Altaf Hussain was issued NICOP and passport.

Rauf Siddiq repeated his challenge for a debate to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, and accused him of ridiculing Altaf Hussain. Dr Sagheer urged the government to unearth elements involved in this ‘conspiracy’.

  1. Altaf Hussain is not PM or President of Pakistan. He is British national and if handicap then the British government provides all kind of facilities to it's handicap nationals. So he must seek assistance from his council to visit the consulate for ID purpose. It's very simple procedure. Therefore MQM must not make a political issue. Obey the laws of the country is my sweet advice.
