Make way as PM makes his way to NA

As Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif graced the National Assembly Thursday after a gap of around three-and-a-half months, he was served with legislators’ appreciation for his efforts in establishing peace in Karachi.

The last time the prime minister attended the National Assembly was on January 29.

Discussing the motion regarding law and order situation in the country, Member National Assembly (MNA) Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh said he “saluted” the prime minister and interior minister over the high level meeting conducted in this regard in which all the stakeholders were present.

Taking part in the discussion, Dr Afzal Khan Dhandla said that in order to resolve issues like Karachi, the resolve like that of the prime minister was required. Dhandla said that all the political parties would have to work collectively to resolve Karachi issue.

Col (r) Ameer Marwat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also welcomed the meeting conducted by the prime minister regarding law and order situation in Karachi, saying that solid steps were needed to curb the menace of terrorism.
