The Supreme Court (SC) has rejected Aqil Karim Dhedhi’s petition seeking deletion of his name from NAB reference in connection with implementation of SC orders in OGRA case and directed him to move the Accountability Court (AC) in this regard.

Justice Jawwad S Khawaja said, “Excluding the name from reference is not the domain of apex court. AC is only proper forum for this purpose.”

A three-member bench of SC presided by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja took up the case for hearing Thursday.

Counsel for Dhedhi took the plea during the course of hearing of the case that his client had nothing to do with OGRA case and his name has been included by NAB for nothing.

NAB Prosecutor General (PG) KK Agha told the court Dhedhi was included in the accused persons who were named in the NAB reference. Evidence was also available with NAB against him.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks.
