The government has released a sum of Rs 7.65 billion in connection with Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project.
These funds have been released under federal development budget. Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) has already accorded approval to this project. However, the approval has not been obtained from Parliament and National Economic Council (NEC). The amount however has been released.
Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms spokesman Asif Sheikh said funds will be allocated for this project in the budget for the fiscal year 2014-15.
