Corruption of Rs 17 million in installation of machinery in government hospitals detected

Corruption of Rs 17 million has been detected in the installation of machinery and other matters in government hospitals of Rawalpindi.

Rawalpindi Anti Corruption Establishment has sent fact finding report to Anti Corruption Establishment Punjab for initiation of action against the persons found involved in this alleged corruption.

Former principal RawalpindiMedicalCollege, former medical superintendent of DistrictHeadquartersHospital and five officers of grade-20 of Health Department are reported to have been found involved in this financial irregularity.

During the preliminary investigation, anti corruption team has recovered a sum of Rs 9.3 million from the company to whom contract was awarded for doing electric work.
