ANF foils heroin smuggling bid, police nab 25 outlaws

Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled a bid to smuggle two kilogrammes of heroin worth millions of rupees from BenazirInternationalAirport and arrested the accused.

According to details, ANF authorities checked the luggage of a passenger going to Abu Dhabi from Rawalpindi through flight 219 and recovered 2kg heroin tactfully concealed in secret pockets of the bag. Cost of recovered heroin runs into millions of dollars as per international market.

ANF authorities told that the accused has been identified as Abdul Hameed and he is the resident of khushab, the accused has been taken into custody and investigation has been started.

 

COPS NAB 25 OUTLAWS:

Islamabad Police have arrested 25 outlaws including three car thieves from various areas of the city and recovered two stolen vehicles, stolen valuables, weapons, wine and hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday.

According to details, special team of Shehzad Town police station constituted by SP (Rural) including SHO Fiaz Ahmed Ranjha, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf and other nabbed three car thieves during high vigilance against such criminal acts. The nabbed car thieves have been identified as Sajid, Nazakat, Liaqat and two cars have been recovered from them. During the initial investigation, they have confessed to strike at various places in twin cities or Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Bhara Kahu Police recovered 320 gram hashish from an accused Asad Abbas during patrolling. Tarnol Police Station arrested an accused Shahbaz and recovered 120 gram heroin from him.

Ramna Police recovered one 30 bore pistol from an accused Farooq while two thieves namely Said Wali and Farooq Khan were arrested for having stolen items and pistol.

Bani Gala Police nabbed two accused Akhlaq,Ahsan Minhas and recovered one 222 bore rifle and four wine bottles from them respectively. Sabzi Mandi Police arrested 12 persons in violation of section 144.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

In crackdown against absconders, Islamabad police nabbed two absconders who were wanted to police for involvement in crime cases of heinous nature.

During general hold up, Islamabad police impounded 101 motorbikes, 12 vehicles while black papers were removed from two tinted glass vehicles. Police team apprehended five suspects from various area of the city during search operation while 13 professional alms seekers were also apprehended.

Islamabad SSP Muhammad Ali Naikokara has directed all SHOs for effective steps to curb activities of criminal elements. He has also asked for strict vigilance against suspects and enhanced patrolling measures in the city.
