Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chairman Fazlur Rehman said on Thursday that he has rejected the ministry offer given by the federal government.

Talking to reporters, Fazl said the federal government had offered him the post of federal minister but he rejected the offer as his party has a different agenda on various national issues.

The JUI-F chairman said that despite all differences, his party would support the government and would resist any challenge to democracy in the country.

Rehman criticised Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying “has he (Khan) done any serious job in his life”.

He said the PTI should also demand an investigation over poll rigging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as rigging was reported across the country.

“Khan is shouting over the rigging issue since a year but his own party has also come into power in KP with rigging.”

Answering a question on peace talks process, the JUI-F head expressed hope for good results but added that the government did not seem serious to carry out dialogue with the Tehreek e Taliban (TTP).
