Rawalpindi Education Department has cancelled the transfer orders of 41 male and female teachers to far flung areas under rationalisation and re-allocation policy.
A notification was also issued to this effect and the teachers have been re-appointed at their old schools.
Earlier, the department had also cancelled the transfers of 191 other teachers as many female teachers had threatened to resign instead of going to other schools.
The teacher community has lauded the step of the Education Department and demanded to cancel all the transfers done under the reallocation policy.
