Shahbaz determined to accelerate economic growth
Foundation stone of the Quaid-e-AzamApparelPark near Motorway and industrial estate in Faisalabad is being laid next month, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while presiding over a high level meeting on Tuesday which reviewed the Quaid-e-AzamApparelPark Project. The chief minister said that the Punjab government is implementing a solid strategy for accelerating the pace of economic growth and creation of job opportunities. He said that local and foreign companies are being fully encouraged and the project of Quaid-e-AzamApparelPark is a step in this direction.
He said that the Quaid-e-AzamApparelPark will be established with the cooperation of the Ruyi Group which is a prominent company of China. He said that the apparel park spreading over 1400 acres of land will be completed in two years and labour colony, hospital, school and other necessary facilities will also be provided in the park. He said that the project will be completed expeditiously and generate thousands of new job opportunities. He said that besides the Ruyi Group, other important companies of China will also set up textile units in the apparel park. He said that the Ruyi Group will also establish a 150-megawatt power plant in the apparel park. The chief minister directed that the business model of the project be evolved within ten days.
