Judiciary, parliament, army and media are four pillars of the nation and interlinked in one or other aspect, said Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has while talking to journalists after visiting the mausoleum of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Gunj Shakar in Pakpatan on Sunday.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that all the pillars of the state should accept the significance and give respect to each other.
He said that they should also work in their constitutional jurisdiction which was in larger interest of the country and its people.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan is currently facing several problems including corruption, energy crisis, inflation, poverty and everyone should play its role to address them.
Earlier, Sajjada Nasheen of the mausoleum Ahmed Masood Chishti carried out the ‘Dastar Bandi” of the Punjab governor.
On the occasion Chaudhry Sarwar prayed for development, progress, stability and sovereignty of the country. He said that Pakistani nationals staying in UK are pride of the nation as they contribute a lot to foreign reserves of the country.
The governor was accompanied by some MNAs, MPAs and other high officials. Chaudhry Sarwar also directed for installing water filtration plant at the Sahiwal Press Club.
