Intra-court appeal filed in IHC against forced removal of slums
An intra-court petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the decision of single bench on forced removal of slum areas in Islamabad Friday.
The counsel of appellant Aziz ur Rehman, Advocate Farrukh lodged the review petition against IHC’s single bench verdict over forced removal of slums in Islamabad.
The appeal stated that slums cannot be removed forcefully.
It is significant to recall that in earlier hearing a single bench of the IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui ordered to the Secretary Interior, Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief, Islamabad chief commissioner and Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman to remove slums.
Haul all those officials who let all this happen over the years. They may be in PML N now.
