The Lahore High Court’s complaint cell on Friday took notice of killing of two alleged outlaws during a police raid.
The cell has directed the district and sessions judge Lahore to look into the matter and submit a detailed report within a week.
According to details, CIA Model Town police said that Shahnawaz, a resident of Deepalpur, was taken into custody in connection with a robbery case in Liaqatabad. During interrogation, he told the police that his accomplices were hiding in a house near Mayo Wali Pulli.
Police took him to the venue for identification and made an announcement, asking the outlaws to surrender, but they opened fire on the raiding team in which Shahnawaz was killed. On of the attackers was killed after police retaliated.
The dead outlaw was identified as Baber of Bank Stop, Chungi Amar Sidhu. Police claimed that the gang was involved in 25 robberies.
