ISLAMABAD
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday accepted the resignation of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) chairman Raghib Abbas.
According to sources, Abbas tendered his resignation for personal reasons. Former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf had appointed him as the WAPDA chairman on September 18, 2012.
He had also worked as WAPDA member (water) and was also held the slot of the acting chairman after former chairman Shakeel Durrani’s tenure ended on September 7, 2012.
