Basit hopes new Indian govt to respond positively to Sharif’s vision

Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit Sunday said that Pakistan would hold talks with the new Indian government for the resolution of issues and disputes between the two countries for lasting peace.

In an interview, Abdul Basit said in order to resolve the more contentious issues, the Sharif government and the new Indian government emerging in June 2014 will have to form and maintain a lasting relationship.

The Pakistan high commissioner expressed the hope that the upcoming Indian government would give a positive response to Nawaz Sharif’s vision and would help resolve all irritants on permanent bases.

  1. Pakistan should forget about Kashmir or any other part of India. BJP is not Congress. Mr. Modi (BJP) will abandon all previous agreements
    with India. It is an advice to Pakistan make a compromise with BJP. He will also make Pakistan wealthy if Pakistan extend their hands for friendship with India.
