Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Thursday appreciated the role of media in the restoration of democracy and promotion of democratic culture in the country.
Speaking as chief guest at the first anniversary of a TV channel, the minister said that Pakistan’s media, along with political parties and civil society, played key role in struggle for restoration of democracy in the country. He said that media was performing its responsibilities in a positive manner and promoting national values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in the society.
