Federal Minister for Information Pervez Rashid Wednesday said that condemnation of Islamabad fruit market blast by the TTP was a great achievement of the Nawaz government.

After inquiring from the wounded who sustained injuries in the Islamabad fruit market blast at PIMS Hospital, the information minister talking to reporters said that it was the government’s efforts that “today the elements carrying out terror attacks to kill innocent people have been isolated”. He was of the view that the elements conducting terrorism in the country have been isolated after the Taliban disclamation, and the government would now handle these elements with iron hands until the stoppage of terror activities.

Appreciating the TTP move, the senator said the Taliban have not only distanced themselves from Islamabad and Sibi blasts, but also strongly condemned these attacks which is great success of the government.

Pervez Rashid said that Pakistan is moving fast towards financial stability and to make the country’s economy stronger.

Condemning the Islamabad fruit market blast, the minister vowed to bring the culprits to book, adding that protection of people’s lives and properties is the top priority of the current government.

Expressing the inability to check every fruit crate coming in the federal capital every day, Rashid vowed to root out the cause of terrorism to avoid such incidents in future.

  2. in a civilised society it is the responsibility of the state to afford protection to its citizens viz life and property , here a senior member of govt is boasting about the said governments achievement at the loss of life, at the hands of terrorists – this guy should appear in a tv programme "pakistan has got talent"
